Site development of the former cellulose factory
- Conducted supplementary historical and technical investigations, along with planning and implementation of groundwater monitoring.
- Developed a feasibility study and proposed remediation options for mercury contamination stemming from former chlor-alkali electrolysis.
- Provided comprehensive advice on contaminated materials, including planning for remediation, decontamination, and dismantling measures.
- Managed the planning, tendering, and construction of river sediment remediation, slope stabilization, and ecological enhancement of the project area.
Detecting pesticide emissions at production sites
- Developed a comprehensive investigation program to evaluate the treatability of pesticides.
- Systematically executed the research program.
- Tested 54 active substances across 83 commercially available plant protection products.
- Identified the most effective process combinations to reduce active ingredient concentrations and minimize environmental impact.
Management of unregulated substances
- Developed an implementation guide for deriving concentration and solids limit values.
- Defined physicochemical, human, and ecotoxicological properties of the substances to establish limit values in accordance with AltlV, VVEA, or VBBo.
- Prepared documentation compliant with regulatory authority requirements.
Risk assessment for pollutant input into water bodies and groundwater
- Conducted material flow analyses and ecotoxicological assessments of all construction chemicals and explosives used.
- Evaluated the impact on water quality in surrounding and downstream water bodies.
- Performed risk assessments for pollutant inputs into surface waters and groundwater, along with the development of risk reduction measures.
